The VantageScore History
VantageScore is the first credit score developed cooperatively by Experian and the other national credit reporting companies.
Development of the VantageScore began in 2005 in direct response to demand for a more consistent and objective approach to credit scoring methodology. VantageScore provides businesses with a highly predictive, consistent score that is easy to understand and apply.
It also is the first credit score developed with careful thought given to making it easy for individual consumers to understand and use as a tool to help manage their credit.
